This is founders' work: Kurt made it before Original Copy Studio was founded, and it shaped how the studio works today.
The idea
SingaPop! looked back at six decades of Singapore pop culture as part of the country's SG60 year. Kurt's piece puts Singapore's visual icons on parade. A cast of AI-generated characters wears looks built from durian, tropical fruit and flowers, standing in front of the city's most recognisable backdrops, from Peranakan shophouse facades to colourful HDB blocks, all moving around the people in the room.
How it was made
Each scene started as a still made with generative AI image tools. The stills were animated with AI video generation, then cut together into a continuous loop with video editing tools, timed so the room keeps changing as visitors move through it.
Why it matters for brands
The same pipeline, from AI stills to motion to the final edit, is what we now use for brand content, launch films and installations: fast to iterate, and still directed by a person with taste.
