Kitchen Taste-Test Reaction

Veo 3

A genuine, unscripted first-bite reaction shot in a real kitchen.

What this prompt does

For F&B — the format that carries appetite appeal better than any plated food photo.

Best for

F&B, snacks, beverages — any product where appetite appeal is the entire conversion mechanism.

Example render coming soon — this prompt is actively used in client work; a sample clip will be added here once we can share one.
▸ THE FULL PROMPT
handheld kitchen reaction shot, subject seated or standing at a real counter, product already prepared or unwrapped and in frame

subject: casual, present-tense reaction — not performing for camera, genuinely tasting for the first time (or performed to read as first time)

camera: handheld, close-medium framing on face and hands, slight natural movement, no gimbal smoothness

(0-2s) subject picks up the food/drink, brief anticipation beat — a look at it before tasting, no narration needed
(2-4s) the actual bite or sip, camera holds on the face through the reaction — this is the moment the whole clip is built around, don't cut away from it
(4-9s) genuine reaction plays out in real time — a pause, an exhale, a specific word about flavor or texture, said plainly not performed
(9-14s) a second bite or sip, slightly more relaxed/confirmed reaction, maybe a comment to someone off-camera
(14-16s) product set down or held toward camera, simple closing line

lighting: real kitchen lighting — overhead or window light, warm and slightly imperfect, no food-styling light rig
camera: handheld, close enough to read facial expression clearly, no tripod rigidity
audio: real ambient kitchen sound (a kettle, cutlery, background chatter), voice natural volume, no music
grain: naturalistic, slightly warm color temperature matching real kitchen light

How to use it

  1. Describe the food the way it looks served at home, not styled: the portion, the packaging, the crumbs. Use a photo of the real product as the reference.
  2. Take the flavour or texture word from real reviews, such as "crunchy" or "not too sweet".
  3. Set it in a kitchen your buyers would recognise. For a Singapore audience, an HDB kitchen counter reads as more real than a showroom.
  4. Keep the camera on the face through the bite, as the prompt says. That moment is the ad.
